Postpartum Massage In Charlotte
Your Care Shouldn’t End When Pregnancy Does.
Your body supported you through pregnancy and birth. Now your body is adapting to recovery, feeding, lifting, holding, rocking, interrupted sleep and the everyday care for your baby. blume•well postpartum massage provides the support you need during this time
Your Baby Isn’t The Only One Who Needs Care
Because becoming a mother doesn’t make your own needs any less worthy of attention.
Hours spent feeding, carrying, rocking and looking down at your baby can show up in your neck and shoulders. Your lower back and hips are still adjusting after pregnancy. Sleep may come in fragments. And finding time to care for yourself can suddenly feel surprisingly complicated.
You deserve to be part of the care plan too.
Your Body Is Still Changing
Postpartum massage shouldn’t simply be a regular massage you happen to receive after having a baby
Birth isn’t the moment your body simply returns to what it was before pregnancy. Recovery takes time. Feeding positions, carrying a baby, disrupted sleep and the repetitive movements of new motherhood create new demands of their own.
That’s why postpartum care should begin with where your body is now, not assumptions about where it “should” be.
Recover. Adapt. Reconnect.
Recover
Your body has done something extraordinary. Give it some of the care it has been giving everyone else.
Adapt
Caring for a baby changes how you sit, sleep, lift, carry, feed and move. Your massage can focus on the places doing more of the work.
Reconnect
For a little while, nothing is being asked of you or your body. You simply get to receive and reset

Questions About Your Care
Everything you need to know about our wellness services and care experience.
How soon after giving birth can I get postpartum massage?
It is safe to receive postpartum massage as soon as you are comfortable. This can be as early as the first few weeks. There isn’t one universal postpartum timeline that is right for everyone. Your birth experience, recovery and individual circumstances matter. If you’ve had complications, surgery, significant bleeding, infection, clotting concerns or have been given postpartum restrictions, speak with your healthcare provider before booking. Most women are cleared by their 6 to 8 week follow up visit with their OBGYN doctor.
Can I get massage after a C-section?
Yes, but you will need to be cleared for activity by your OBGYN doctor first. This is usually at your 6 to 8 week follow up visit. Let us know that you delivered by C-section so we can discuss comfortable positioning and adapt your session accordingly

Yes. Please let us know what you need to feel comfortable. We suggest that if breastfeeding you feed baby or pump prior to your appointment.
What if lying face down is uncomfortable?
You don’t have to.
We can adapt positioning and support around what feels comfortable for your body. Your massage should adapt to you.
Can massage help with neck, shoulder or back discomfort?
These are common areas postpartum clients ask us to focus on because feeding, carrying, rocking, lifting and disrupted sleep can place new demands on the body. Your therapist can personalize the session around the areas bothering you.
Do I need to be in pain to book?
No. Postpartum massage can be about physical relief, relaxation, rest or simply having an hour when your body gets to receive care.
What should I wear?
Come in whatever feels comfortable. Professional draping is used throughout your massage and your therapist will explain everything before the session begins.
How often should I get postpartum massage?
There isn’t one required schedule. Some women come when a particular area needs attention; others choose regular monthly massage as part of their postpartum wellness routine. Choose what works for your body, schedule and preferences.
Can I bring my baby?
Yes. Babies are welcome at postpartum massage appointments if needed.
